Whether you use maths a lot or a little in your degree, it can be challenging.

Maths supportThe resources on these pages can be used to support your learning. If you use maths and statistics regularly, you might find these worked examples useful for extra practice, revising areas that you have covered in class. The subject-specific pages cover topics and examples relevant to that area of study.

It could be a long time since you last studied maths and you might find these resources useful as a refresher. There could be a particular topic that you want to work on, or you might find it useful to look through the core mathematics support.

Some graduate jobs have numerical reasoning or maths tests that you need to pass. You can use these resources and the one-to-one support to prepare yourself to take these tests.

Maths-Aid

Maths-Aid provide one-to-one support on a drop-in basis all undergraduate and taught postgraduate (PGT) students who are not in of the School of Maths and Statistics.

They can help with all aspects of maths and statistics including:

  • mastering mathematical methods
  • revising for exams with a quantitative element
  • understanding statistical tests
  • using SPSS
  • practising graduate numerical skills tests
